"A Safe New Beginning for Me and My Two Kids”
Hello, my name is Jolene, and I’m a proud mother to two incredible kids — Jackson (15) and Monroe (12). I’m reaching out with hope in my heart and a deep desire to finally build a safe, stable home for my family after surviving years of domestic violence.
In 2019, our lives changed in ways I never could have imagined. What began as love slowly became fear and control. For years, I tried to keep things together — to protect my children and hold on to any sense of normalcy. But the abuse grew worse, and it took everything in me to finally find the courage to leave.
Starting over hasn’t been easy. The path toward safety and healing is long and filled with challenges. I’ve worked hard to rebuild our lives, but we’re still struggling to find true stability. Right now, my biggest goals are to secure safe and stable housing for my children and me, and to have reliable transportation so I can continue working, care for my kids, and rebuild our independence.
This fundraiser will go directly toward:
A deposit and first month’s rent for a safe place to live
Reliable transportation, so I can get to work and ensure Jackson and Monroe can get to school and activities safely
Essential household needs as we settle into a new space
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to safety, peace, and the chance to start over. My children have shown incredible strength through it all — they deserve the security and comfort that most families take for granted.
